Israel Advocacy with Seth Miller

Description: Based upon the David Project curriculum developed at Brandeis University, this class will provide attendees with knowledge, strategies, and skills to enable them to better identify with Israel and Jewish causes, as well as provide effective support for Israel in the broader community. . At the college level, the David Project aims to shape positive attitudes and favorable opinions toward Israel on campus by educating, training, and empowering student leaders to serve as effective and persuasive advocates. Versions of this curriculum are also taught at more than 130 Jewish high schools and middle schools across North America and Israel, impacting thousands of students each year. Instructors prepare students to assume leadership roles and to sponsor and organize Israel-oriented programs and events. The present Sunday morning class has been adapted and abridged from the original curriculum to serve adult attendees in a more condensed schedule comprising 5 sessions. We believe, however, that the learning experience will be every bit as rich and rewarding.

Parent University with Rabbi Rafi Cohen

Description: Led by Rabbi Rafi Cohen, these sessions provide an opportunity for parents of current students (Learning Center, Preschool, and Jewish Day Schools) to study together as a Parent Community. The class is an amalgam of topics of interest and concern to our growing parent body: part Hebrew, part Bible, part Mitzvot, part Tefillah (prayer), part Ethics, part parenting and values. Learn together with Rabbi Cohen and discuss ways of bringing lessons into the home and to your family.
