Preschool
Small classes provide a nurturing, loving environment so children can develop a positive self-image. (See recent Preschool & Kindergarten happenings!) The school promotes creative play, fosters academic growth and invites parental involvement. All Jewish holidays are celebrated. A weekly Kabbalat Shabbat service is held to enhance the child's identification with Judaism. All teachers are degreed in education or child-related fields. To enroll, membership in Beth Torah is not required. Some scholarships are available.
We have opportunities for adults of any age to read to our children in our Library and help to facilitate classroom activities - frying potato latkes, preparing charoset, and making applesauce.
Children 18 months through kindergarten enjoy our daily activities. A First Steps program for children 12 to18 months old is available in the fall and the spring during the school year as well as a Baby Steps program for children 0 to 12 months.
A summer camp program is also available where children learn while they play. We aim to have a summer experience to remember. The summer includes many activities, adventures, projects, and special entertainers. Click here for more information on Camp Chaverim.
The Preschool Committee helps the Director plan and execute the curriculum programs and fundraisers.
Our Committee integrates new families by arranging an outing for the parents along with children. We also help families during stressful life cycle events - births, deaths and illness by providing assistance through our Sunshine Committee.
Hours of operation:
