Earl Portnoy, an expert and instructor with decades of experience in multiple martial arts, including Tai Chi, will lead a weekly class focusing on the Yang 108 form of Tai Chi taught in progressive levels.
Benefits include improved balance, stress reduction, lowered blood pressure, increased range of motion, enhanced bone structure, and more.

Self-Defense Classes

Earl Portnoy, Beth Torah’s security consultant, will teach a weekly one-hour class that will include situational awareness skills as well as effective self-defense techniques.
Earl is the Grandmaster of the Shui Huo Kung Fu system, as well as high ranking in other systems. He ran his own security company and training academy, wrote curriculum, and taught defensive tactics to domestic and international law enforcement agencies (Federal Air Marshals, Bosnia, etc) as well as civilian and military groups.

Feldenkrais Method® – Awareness Through Movement®

Discover a gentle, transformative approach to improving how you move and feel. In this Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement class, participants will explore guided movement sequences designed to enhance:
-Balance and coordination
-Range of movement
-Brain–body reorganization
-Overall movement efficiency
-Calm and focus
This class is accessible, slow-paced, and suitable for all experience levels.
What to Bring
-Wear comfortable clothing. If you’d like, you may also bring:
-A moving blanket
-A yoga mat and a small pillow or towel

Israeli Dance ClassMultipurpose Room
Our Israeli dance class includes beginner dancing from 7-8pm, some teaching throughout the night and open dancing until 9:30pm. Experience Israeli culture with an added bonus of an amazing aerobic and brain workout!
