Sale of Hametz
Are you preparing your kitchen for Passover and want to sell your Hametz?
Over Pesah, we are commanded not to eat or own food containing wheat, oats, rye, spelt, and barley. The best way to remove these foods from our homes over Pesah is to donate them to JFS or give them to a friend. However, there is a loophole we can use for particularly valuable items that are not kosher for Pesah (e.g. liquor).

Click here to sell your Hametz now through Sunday, March 29

Other Passover Items

Seudah for the Firstborn
8:00 AM,  Wednesday, April 1
There is a tradition for firstborns to fast the day leading up to the Passover seder. However, there is also a traditional loophole so that firstborns can eat! Almost any time during the Jewish year, when there is a joyous occasion, like completing a piece of Torah learning, it is a mitzvah to make a celebratory meal, even for a firstborn on Erev Pesah.  Everyone is welcome to join in the nosh and learning, no matter what your birth order.
